The School - Ours and Theirs

Not "Our" School Anymore?

According to Cindy, the "new" school is actually the fifth HHS! Cindy strongly encourages everyone to do the school tour as there are beautiful picture murals in the Gym, Main Office Foyer, and Auditorium. There is a chance you will see pictures of yourself or your friends because pictures from the past were used to make them. And the architect incorporated some elements of the old school into the new building, such as round windows in the classroom doors.

The image above is a t-shirt that the school sold after the new school was finished. Cindy is going to see if she can get digital versions for us of the images used on the t-shirt.

Here is a photo from the Architect's Website that shows part of one of the murals. You just might find yourself in one of them!

Cindy also says that the only portion left standing from the old school is the band room! It is now the Sammons Athletic Complex. I guess this will be our marker of where the old school stood. On the Panther Football website there will soon be pictures up of the Sammons Athletic Complex. You can see the new football lockers that were just purchased and placed inside here: http://www.hhspantherfootball.com.

Thanks for all the history, Cindy!  Fantastic!
